Terms of use

The service

Watches lets you keep a list of watches, see merit scores and similar watches, vote on pairs of watches, publish opinions, and share links from which we extract the watches mentioned. We may change, add or remove features. We will tell you in advance of changes that take away something you pay for.

Accounts and guests

You can use Watches as a guest: saving a watch creates a guest account on your device, which we delete 30 days after its last use. To keep your watches everywhere, create an account with your email or with Apple, Google or Facebook. Keep your password safe; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

Opinions and acceptable use

Opinions are public and shown with your name. Do not post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing or misleading, other people's personal data, spam or advertising, or content that infringes someone else's rights. Do not interfere with the service, scrape it, or use it to build a competing product. We may remove opinions and suspend accounts that break these rules.

Your content

You keep the rights to the opinions you post. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, show, translate and distribute them within Watches for as long as they are published. The licence ends when you delete an opinion or your account.

The Pro subscription

Free accounts can create a limited number of shares each calendar month; your profile shows how many are left. Pro removes that limit and changes nothing else.

• On the web, Pro is sold by Polar as merchant of record. Your contract for the payment is with Polar, under its checkout terms, including its refund rules.
• Pro renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. The price and period are shown before you pay.
• You can cancel at any time from your profile; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• Deleting your account cancels Pro at once.

Scores, prices and recommendations

Merit scores, taste rankings, prices and similar-watch suggestions are computed from catalog data and from other users' votes. They can be incomplete or wrong. They are information, not advice: check the details with the seller before you buy. Watches is provided "as is", without any warranty that it is accurate, available or fit for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows.

Liability

We are liable without limit for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise, our liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical of this kind of service, and in total to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of ⁨{{GOVERNING_LAW_COUNTRY}}⁩. The courts of ⁨{{VENUE}}⁩ have jurisdiction, unless the law of the country where you live as a consumer gives you the right to go to your local courts.

The iPhone app

If you use the iPhone app, Apple's Standard License Agreement also applies to it. These terms are between you and us, not Apple.

Changes and contact
